Dear Alice, We just would like to say that we had the most lovely time in Firenze and Riva Loft ! The hotel is just lovely - great rooms, situated away from the crowds but with the new tramway it takes hardly 10' on the whole to get into the heart of the historic center. Your tips for the restaurants away from the center were the best. It is sure we will come back together with our children and we will recommend your hotel to all our friends who make a city trip to Firenze. warm regards, Marian Provoost

Alice, We are back in the states. I promised a review of all of your recommendations. Can I just say that everywhere we went we enjoyed ourselves. Riva Lofts is wonderful. Please let me know of you next adventure as I would like to be one of the first guests. It must be wonderful to be one of the keepers of the Rinascimneto! It is a magical treasure and like no other. I will be back – I have an ongoing interest in the history and technology of calculations and for this reason, I need to spend much more time in the new Galileo museum! Thank you again for a great stay, Rick, Ellen, Haley and Gus

Dear Alice, time flies and by now we're back home in Santa Fe. We had a great if short visit in Florence and enjoyed our night at your hotel very much, also the lovely breakfast and the dinner at the restaurant you recommended to us. As far as I remember, I came across your name while searching for Florence hotels on the Concierge (Conde Nast) website. After reading their recommendation I logged on to your site - glad I did. Should our travels bring us back to Florence, we'll be staying with you again and I also recommended your hotel to my friends in Germany which we visited after leaving Italy. Alice, Thank you for your email and I will contact them next week. I can't access the website but will try again tomorrow. Thank you for a lovely stay and Charlie is feeling a lot better now. We will be back soon as my husband would love Riva! Your place has given me a lot of inspiration as I am designing a minimalist garden in London and it would be fabulous to use some Italian limestone. London has quite a mild climate so I think if we treat the stone, it will withstand the harsher climate. If you ever need any help on planting (your garden needs a little softness against the walls I think), I am more than happy to suggest something.
